Remember The 13th was a viral marketing hoax created by Rantic. The site was orchestrated in a form of a countdown clock on October 1st, 2013 at around 5 pm. The site was first covered by Revista Galileu (GLOBO) and received a wide variety of worldwide news coverage.
When the countdown ended about a week after launch, the site redirected to a YouTube video. Most of the news coverage were from European or Asian news outlets. The countdown was printed numerous times on Korean and South American newspaper and magazine issues.
